02 ADIPOSE SAMPLE

Stem cell banking means you only have to donate a fat (adipose) sample of between 5mL to 50mL once. Self-donating your fat sample for AdMSC takes about 15 minutes, and is performed under a local aesthetic by an aesthetic physician as an outpatient procedure.

Taking such a small sample symmetrically from the abdomen area does not alter the contour of the body; and the 2mm incision will heal without a scar within 7 to 14 days. Often clients will alloacte a small sample of their fat, removed during a bigger liposuction, for stem cell banking.

After quality control procedures we securely bank (cryogenically store) millions of your adipose mesenchymal stem cells (AdMSC) at -196 Celsius in the vapour stage of liquid nitrogen cooled tanks. At this temperature ‘life is suspended’ enabling cells to be cryogenically stored almost indefinitely.

​Key to maintaining cell viability is the freezing and thawing process of your cells; where losses will inevitably occur, but can be minimised. That’s why in 2012 we acquired the Asymptote® VIA Freeze from its first pilot-run – the first-ever cleanroom-located controlled-rate cell freezer.

Use of the Asymptote® VIA Freeze completely avoids; moving cells from a cleanroom for freezing; unnecessary cell losses; and the contamination and sterility risk issues found in traditional systems. Our storage protocols are ahead of international clinical GMP quality requirements.

Our liquid nitrogen storage units are located in a ISO Class 08 validated environment that is 10 times particle-free (cleaner) than required under current EU clinical GMP; and, allows for easier access and retrieval versus larger lower-cost systems.
